Description
This is a gorgeous dusky cream silk fairy skirt. Pixie hem layered over cotton. Naturally dyed for a fairy costume. Mori girl boho festival fashion, bohemian skirt.
They sip elderberry mead and share old stories…
Ideas: This pretty skirt would look lovely with a simple white t-shirt for a casual boho outfit with a fairy twist; or go full festival fashion with a sequin top. Add fairy or angel wings and glitter for a fairy costume. Alternatively you could wear with chunky boots and neutral colours for a woodland mori girl style; it would layer beautifully over a tiered maxi skirt.
Materials: This skirt has a double layer of cotton gauze underneath and gathered pure silk over the top – it feels utterly stunning and floats beautifully in the breeze! I dyed all layers with elderberries. Please note that although I fixed the dye with mordant, there is likely to be some fading over time. The skirt is elasticated at the waist for comfort. The cotton gauze underneath goes shorter than the silk in a couple of places, leaving it quite sheer. You may prefer to layer over leggings as I have done in the photos, or over another skirt for a lagenlook style.
Measurements: Waist 38-48” / 96-122cm Length: shortest 12” / 30cm. Longest 33” / 84cm.
The top and leggings shown are not included.
Please read the info below for how my garments are created and care advice, along with shipping info etc. Please hand wash separately with detergent for silk (it should be fine in a delicate cycle in a net bag) and hang to dry in the shade.
