Delivery info

My local post office is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings. I will endeavour to send your item the same or next day possible after receiving your order.

UK postage is sent 2nd class ‘to be signed for’ delivery.

Overseas shipping is sent with ‘International tracked & signed for’ for most items; I’m sorry about the cost – I don’t make any profit on posting. Parcels to the USA take approximately 7 working days, but can be 3 weeks to some parts of the world. I’m sorry, I cannot be more specific than this, I have no control once I’ve posted it and cannot be accountable for the postage system!
Smaller items are usually sent with regular airmail and may take up to 3 weeks.
There should be no customs costs, however if customs open the parcel and decide customs costs need to be paid, then I’m afraid I can’t be responsible for this.
I’m often asked if I can send an item with express shipping. I’m sorry, but tracked and signed for is the fasted posting method we have at a reasonable price. 5 day delivery is about £70.

Returns info

I’m sorry I can’t be more generous with my returns policy, but I am a very small business; I hope you understand. Occasionally things aren’t quite right, so please e-mail me at helen@threadsofafairytale.com within five days of receipt of your parcel to see if I can help in any way.

Before purchasing, please check measurements to try to avoid returns. I will need to receive the item back within 21 days of receipt and in completely new, unworn condition. If I need to wash or repair, I will deduct an amount to cover this. I only refund the cost of the item, not the cost of postage. Return postage is at your expense and responsibility and I strongly recommend you use registered delivery. If the item is lost in the post on its way back to me, I’m sorry, I can’t refund you. If you are returning an item from overseas, please be absolutely sure to mark the labels as a return, otherwise I will have to pay customs to receive it back and I will pass this fee onto you.

Exclusions.
I don’t offer refunds on made-to-order items or if an item has been altered at your request; nor on items in the Clearance section.
