Ideas: If you’re having a casual woodland or beach wedding with a vintage feel, then I think this top could be a lovely part of your bridal outfit. Perfect for a roaring ‘20s themed party or simply as a lovely summer top.
Materials: Made from a genuine off-white 1920s vintage top, at some point in its history it has been cut off, perhaps from a longer top or dress, and the trim around the neckline and armholes removed. I have stitched vintage (though probably not as old as the top) binding around the neck and armholes in peach, which perfectly matches the colour of the delicate embroidered roses dotted all over the fabric. The fringing at the hem adds to the roaring ‘20s feel. The top is lined in cotton with a voile overlay. This feels like stiff silk voile to me, but I can’t be sure. There is an original dainty scalloped edging up the front. Hook and eyes fasten at the waist to close the side slits. It is in excellent clean fresh condition, but there are a couple of tiny brown dots on the fabric. Nothing to detract from the prettiness of this unique top.
