Ideas: With a pretty sparkly top like the one in the photos, this skirt would be perfect as part of your unique prom dress or fairy costume. For a ballerina look, add a tiara and ribbon-tied ballet shoes; or wear with delicate heels for a party. Alternatively this would look amazing with chunky boots for more of a grunge or festival vibe.
Materials: To avoid the dreaded ‘tutu-itch’ and to keep it decent, the skirt is fully lined in a pink silky fabric which I think is a silk viscose blend. This means, it’s soft and comfortable at the waistband too. This lining has a dipped hem at the front and back.
The overlay is made up of gathered pale lilac tutu net with torn strips of net and hand-dyed pink cotton gauze over the top.
The skirt is drawstring with a pretty lilac ribbon for the perfect fit.
Measurements: The waist is very adjustable but would fit best anyone up to 35” / 89cm. Hips free. Length: 25-31” / 63-79cm approx.
