A stunning steampunk inspired fairytale wedding dress. Alternative wedding dress with high low skirt, cream lace bohemian bridal gown. Sustainable fashion.
When the clock strikes the hour, you know it’s time to run away and meet your true love at the church…
Ideas: This would make an absolutely beautiful and unique wedding dress. You could go for a complete steampunk style and wear with elegant Victorian accessories; however it would also make a beautiful fairytale woodland wedding dress.
Materials: I made the bodice with a base of silk and cotton with new and vintage laces patchworked over the top. Pearls and vintage buttons adorn the neckline along with pieces of antique crochet. The materials flow out into a full and layered skirt; higher at the front and lower at the back – possibly trailing on the floor, depending on your height. The layers include silk from vintage wedding dresses, bridal lace and cotton, with edges trimmed with fringing and lace.
The dress zips up at the back with hook and eye fastenings half way up and at the top.
And the best thing is: there are pockets!
Measurements: Bust: 46.5” / 118cm. Waist: 39” / 99cm. Hips free. Length 40” / 101cm at the front; 60” / 152cm at the back.

Please read the info below for how my garments are created and care advice, along with shipping info etc. I would prefer this dress to be hand washed, but if you trust your machine on a delicate cycle, it should be fine inside out. Please use detergent for silk and lie flat to dry.
