Holiday & Festival dates

I’m just about recovered from an exhausting Glastonbury Festival, but now I’m  giving you advanced notice that all Oshun shops (and wickedfaeriegifts) will be closed from the evening of 4th of July until 28th of July. Not long after that, from 13th – 14th August, all my stock will be coming with me to the New Forest Fairy Festival, so if you’ve had your eye on anything, now’s the time to get it!

The Oshun Dress

Have you seen Beyonce’s video album, Lemonade? She wears a beautiful yellow dress inspired by the goddess Oshun, and I’ve been inspired to make my own! If you’d like to read a bit more about how I chose Oshun to be the name of my clothing brand; and how I made this particular dress, then please take a look at my blog post all about it!

New Forest Fairy Festival 2015 + holiday dates

Hello everyone and welcome to Oshun if you’ve just found me from the New Forest Fairy Festival. I had an awesome weekend in Burley – it’s such a beautiful part of England – I love going to the New Forest. It’s even better when surrounded by beautiful creative people and a sprinkling of fairy dust! I met so many wonderful fairies and it was lovely seeing Holly – who did an amazing job organising the event – walking about on Sunday in her new sparkly mermaid dress bought at my stall 🙂 Photos of the festival will be on my Facebook page when I get back from holiday….

which will be for 2 weeks, so my shops will be closed from Friday 21st August till 4th September. Apologies for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience. Right, I’m now off to unpack the stock from my campervan and clean like mad because my parents are house/dog sitting for us!

New Year, new plans!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all have a magical and fun-filled 2015. I’ve been busy getting the accounts done for the year (yawn) and also planning which festivals to bring Oshun’s traveling boutique to (yay). My plans for the year are to begin with making some accessories and jewellery for the fairs and festivals; and then I’ve been designing a collection which I hope to bring to a selection of shops across the country. If I have time on top of that I’ll continue my experiments with natural printing and dyeing and make some wedding gowns using some of the antique fabric I’ve been collecting. Exciting and busy times ahead!
