It is my main event of the year this weekend (14th-15th of August): I’m going to have my stall at the New Forest Fairy Festival!
How I make the fairytale clothing
I began my YouTube channel about five years ago with the purpose of sharing everything behind-the-scenes of running my small handmade clothing business, Threads of a Fairytale. Over the years I have shared everything from how I make the clothing, to how I organise my sewing studio, to our trips out for the photoshoots for the shop and Instagram. And along with that I’ve shared my personal life too….
We have a roadmap out of lockdown. What are you wearing?
So we’re into March now, and at last there are signs of this third lockdown being over in the coming months, but I have a feeling working from home will still be the norm for many people for the first half of 2021 at least. Are you still enjoying wearing pyjamas all day? Or lounge pants and a nice-ish top suitable for zoom? I don’t want you to miss this opportunity…

Making a pink floral fairy dress
Many of you ask how I make my fairytale clothing, and I do my best to explain! It’s difficult because there’s a different process for every dress. Due to working with reclaimed fabrics, there are always patterns, embellishments and types of fabric that I use to its best advantage to make each garment unique and beautiful.
How to be comfortable and stylish at the same time! – Choosing outfits for working from home.
I’m writing this part way into the Coronavirus lockdown, during which, if possible, people are working from home and learning that their usual outfits might need to change a little…
